Jerry's Artarama Live Episode #59: Serigraphy (Fine Art Screen Printing) with Guest Artist, Ariana Gershman
Serigraphy (also known as Silk-screen, or Screen Printing) is a printing technique where an image is created on a substrate by pushing ink through a screen, using areas blocked out by a stencil. One color is printed at a time, with multiple screens producing multiple colors (or one screen that has the stencil adjusted between each color printed).
Guest artist and professional printmaker Ariana Gershman (That's me!) will be graciously hosting the Jerry’s FB Live Team in her own Moon Rabbit Studio, giving us an up-close tour and printing demonstration using one of her own gorgeous, multi-color designs. Ariana will guide us through how to do multiple printing techniques like image registration, color layering, and getting high detail print quality when producing a fine art paper print with serigraphy. The episode will also feature an overview of Speedball screen printing equipment and materials.
